To calibrate the battery: Allow the battery fully charged state for two hours or more. Meanwhile, if the power supply is connected, you can use your computer.
Disconnect the power adapter with MacBook Pro on and start running on battery power. In the meantime, you can use the computer. When the battery is low, the screen displays a notice of the charge level.
Keep your computer turned on until it goes to sleep. When the battery is running low, record all the work done and close all applications before the computer enters a state of Stop.
Turn off the computer or allow it to sleep for five hours or more. - Connect the power adapter and leave it connected until the battery is fully charged again.
